Maranacook Adult and Community Education is planning to begin the spring semester with an exciting selection of online classes. We will be offering a wide selection of classic favorites as well as many new online offerings.
While we all love to gather together, meet new people, socialize and learn in the face to face environment, due to the current pandemic, face to face enrichment classes that are typically offered at Maranacook High School will not be made available during the spring semester. This is of course to protect the health and safety of our district students and teachers as well as our surrounding communities. We are extremely hopeful that as we move closer to the fall 2021 semester, we will begin to see a return of our more traditional face to face classes and programs.
While enrichment classes will not be offered face to face, we will be offering HiSET tutoring, in a small in-person group learning environment. For those students who are uncomfortable attending our in-person HiSET classes, online learning opportunities will also be available. For those students wanting to participate but lacking internet or computer access, Maranacook Adult Education has some technology available to assist. If interested please contact steve_vose@maranacook.com. To keep students and staff safe and healthy, we are asking that any students who are planning to begin their dream of achieving a HiSET diploma this fall semester contact Steve Vose (steve_vose@maranacook.com) to arrange a meeting date and time.
The Maine Bureau of Motor Vehicles is allowing Maranacook Adult Education to offer CDL training, in a limited capacity, during the spring semester. Our spring class is scheduled to run February 16th-March 13th. At this time limited space is still available. If interested in participating in this program please contact steve_vose@maranacook.com.
We thank all of our students and program participants for their patience in these difficult times. While we all hope for a speedy end to the pandemic, Maranacook Adult Education is doing all it can to move forward with its pledge to offer high quality enrichment and educational programing to our local communities no matter what hurdles we need to overcome.
Thank you for your continued support,
Steve Vose
